Gymbo the clownToday Cade and I went to our first Gymboree class.   The class instructor was very upbeat and vibrant and was quick to interact with the kids.  Every week there is a different theme and this week the theme is “mail.”  All the kids got to pretend they were mail carriers by sorting and stamping packages and envelopes and pushing around mail carts.

Everything was going along well, when out pops Gymbo- the clown puppet that ends every class.  If you know me, you know I am super scared of clowns.  The fun didn’t stop there, either- Cade got a stamp of Gymbo the clown and kept pointing to it and saying “Gymbo go night-night.”  At the end of class Gymbo goes back in his cabinet (where he needs to stay), and the instructor says he has to go back to sleep (did he ever really need to wake up?).

Since I will be subjected to the lovely Gymbo everytime I go to class, I guess I will have to get used to seeing him.  I will stop short of actually buying him.  They conveniently have Gymbo for sale for $14.99 at the front of the store. Yikes!
